BBC School News Report


BBC News School Report gives 11-14 year-old students in the UK the chance to make their own news reports for a real audience. 26 March 2009, schools will take part in an annual News Day, simultaneously creating video, audio and text-based news reports, and publishing them on a school website, to which the BBC will link

Staying on at school until aged 18 - On the 27 November 2008 the government passed a law so that teenagers will continue in education or training until the age of 18. The new Act will raise the education leaving age to 17 in 2013 and to 18 from 2015.
